How Our Voyage Began

Marine Consultants was founded in 1963 by three partners: Zafar Ahmad, Hsan Abbas, and Raisuddin Siddiqui. The partners were members of The Royal Institute of Naval Architects (RINA) and the Society of Marine Consultants Engineers (SME), UK, and additionally had an association with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). They were all engineers well-versed with working experience at commercial shipyards and ports throughout Pakistan, so they saw the value in joining forces.

Initially, very few professionals were available individually, however, no company was public to offer shipbuilding and repairs services to the industry. Marine Consultants' founders knew that their success would come from working together as a team, and just in five years, Marine Consultants had grown to become one of the largest shipyards in the country.

For more than 40 years, Marine Consultants Experts have been working as non-exclusive surveyors to classification societies such as the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), and Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The associates were certified by the Government of Pakistan permitting them to practice as Ship Surveyor in any port in Pakistan. Additionally, they have been carrying out "Condition Surveys" for the purchase of second-hand ships for more than 50 years.

In 2013, Marine Consultants expanded its operations in the application of SAP systems, Microsoft Dynamics Cloud-Based Solutions, Salesforce Platforms, Oracle Applications, and ERP Solutions that will deliver value through increased efficiency and effectiveness.
